Night sky …

No stars .. cloud drifting by like life without love .. a moon opaque ; heartache. Starlight .. the glory of the sky, the moon’s embrace and love and happiness and I … .

Still …

All is quiet; the heavens wheel above. The world turns and the night follows the day – the world turns and I, powerless, turn with it .. and my nights follow my days. Comets hurtle by in icy trajectory: stars … Continue reading

A star weeps …

The modest moon hides her face behind curtains of cloud. A star weeps; bleak night reigns – there is no light, there is no love in her cosmic kingdom. Venus, brightest star, dry your stellar eyes – your undimmed light, … Continue reading

Hope …

A winter’s night and despair stood forlorn beneath the shivering stars of the galaxies of ice; breathing brittle shards of frost and hopes lost .. A night in winter and hope was reborn beneath the tremulous stars of the galaxies … Continue reading

The church tower …

Beyond the high and ancient wall the silhouetted tower of the village church merged with the shadowed stone in overlapping centuries. Beneath the ivied lych-gate, time and fortune, love and life have passed like the season’s berries that bedecked the … Continue reading
