The artistry of sea …

The sea reveals with brush strokes sublime

a landscape weathered by the waves;

a painting maritime ..

on the uncovered shore the art of time and tide

depicted long before.

A palette of pebbles, rock and ore

with mica sparkles in the light ..

on muted shades of slate;

a gouache of China white

on granite, quartz and green agate ..

From the gallery of Nature’s art I see that masterpiece displayed

between the tidal ebb and flow –

those sculpted curves

the artistry of sea has made … .

      Hello Francina …..

      Thank you very much for your kind words about my attempts here 🙂 I don’t really have the time to fulfil the conditions of acceptance of the award but I appreciate your interest in my website very much.

      I hope you and your family will enjoy a most Happy Christmas.

  2. I love the way you used maritime and art of time. Also the way “time and tide” read at the end of that line!
