Day breaks in silence …

Day breaks in silence over the furrows;

only my footprints mar the perfect perspective.

All is still in the mysterious calm of morning ..

until I brush spears of grass

and rills of raindrops flow to earth as I pass ..

I am reflective at my intrusion

upon this,

the day’s birth … .

      Good morning John,

It’s very nice to see you 🙂 Thank you very much … I’m pleased to know that you think so. Day breaking in the countryside has that enigmatic quality of tranquillity and expectation combined, I feel.

“rills of raindrops flow” – breathtaking! This is finely crafted and flows just like the gentle light and mist of morning…perfection.

      Hello planaquarium ..

How nice to see you 🙂 I’m a bit taken aback by your appreciation of these lines .. I don’t quite know what to say in response except to thank you very much for your interest in my poetry and for taking the time to read and comment here. Your thoughts are much appreciated.

    Good morning Marya

What a beautiful poem to start the day with. As ever, delightful lines.

Hope everything is well in the Marya world. I’ll always have a soft spot for you though I do get worried about your safety from time to time.
In the centre of the picture, trying to hide behind the smaller trees, that’s not a Stegosaurus, is it? 🙂

How lovely to see you 🙂 Thank you very much for your kind compliments; they are much appreciated … I’m very pleased to know that you liked these lines.

All is well, thank you … I hope you and your family are all fine too.

Now, about that Stegosaurus … I’m so pleased I didn’t notice it or, thank goodness, any extra large footprints in that ploughed field 🙂 I might not have felt quite so tranquil …
