Thought on a thought …

An unsought thought is a spark in the dark;

a firefly flicker on a gossamer thread ..

a gleam of light on the darkest of nights.

An unthought thought is a spark in the dark

like the moon glimpsed when shrouded in cloud;

a presence felt although out of sight,

like water from the well wherein hope dwells … .

    Hello Marya,

    Beautiful imagery, especially like the last line as it finishes on a hopeful positive note.

    Hmmm. At the left of your picture just before the shore meets the sea, I can make out a sand-camouflaged komodo dragon with a surfboard under his arms/claws and he’s about to attack those waves. 🙂

    P.S. Thank you for your recent lovely comment on “test post”. I do miss the old days of MYT when there were hundreds of bloggers all vying for space on the home page. Now, a lot have moved to pastures new and there isn’t the same immediacy,for want of a better word, as before. I’m more usually to be found on my “business” blog.
    Best wishes to you and your family. keep those poems coming.

    Hello JW … Lovely to see you!

    Thank you very much for your kind opinion on these lines … I’m pleased you like it. The poem is a kind of ‘unthought thought’ itself 🙂

    A komodo dragon ! What a nightmare … how did I survive the encounter?

    Yes, at its best MyT was special .. such a pity it evolved the way it did. I did find your “business blog” the other day but I thought it was best to leave a comment on the other one ..

    Thank you for your good wishes , supportive words and encouragement. Have a happy weekend.

    Hello, Marya,

    Deep thoughts indeed! They say that the mind never sleeps and never rests ; it is always sifting through everything we know and rearranging our knowledge in new patterns, and arriving at new solutions – and only sometimes lettings us become aware of its work. 🙂

    Hello Jamie ..

    Apologies for the tardy response to your comments here. I’ve just returned from wild and woolly Wales .. A Wales with mountain-to-mountain sunshine and harebells ringing 🙂

    Hope you are enjoying this superb weather, too.

    Yes, the mind can surprise with its unfathomable depths .. ‘Where did that come from ?’ is a question I’ve often asked myself 🙂
