Interlude …

Sea mist lingers beyond the harbour walls

muffling the mewing of the seagulls’ calls.

The silvered sea a mirror to the blank canvas sky

as with silent wing beats they glide by.

An interlude of stillness for the restless sea:

an interlude of stillness becalming me … .

Ave, poetess! Londinenses te salutant and estimate ‘Interlude’ between their top ten…The first
distich is a poem, in two lines…I hear as some wonderful, syrenic sounds… ‘Beyond’,of first line,
reminds me something of the sea, in my language, too, because ‘onda’ is ‘wave’ , in italian and
    ‘unda’, in Londinium… True thanks.

    Ave, Didacus!
Thank you very much … that’s the fascination of language, isn’t it. ‘Onda’ has a pleasant flowing sound to my English ears .. a beautiful word, I think.
As I quoted from Wittgenstein above ..’ uttering a word is like striking a note on the keyboard of the imagination’ 🙂
