WHITE RHODODENDRON

The camera blinks a dispassionate eye,

capturing the imprint with looking-glass lens.

An alignment in time; efflorescence and sky;

opaque petals refreshed by the rain.

The beauty of one flower contained by the light,

unfolding again, softly blushing

    Good morning Marya,

    Always a delight to read your wondrous poems, particularly like the last three lines. Beautiful.

    Good to see the new format (I also like the bright colour on the outskirts of your page). You now, if you wish, have the taxing job of re-editing previous posts.

    Hold on! At the bottom right of your photograph. Is that a tentacle of a cuttlefish about to wrap itself around the flower? What pond did that slink out from?

      Good evening JW …

      Thank you for the somewhat extravagant praise .. you’re very kind .. I’m glad you enjoyed the snapshot, though. πŸ™‚

      I quail at the thought of all that re-editing .. you’re a hard taskmaster ..

      The creature didn’t hang around long enough to answer the question .. it just scuttled away πŸ™‚
