A smile …

A smile

like one star shining

on a cloud-shrouded night  ..

A smile

the bruised-black sky

with reflected light

from infinite space.

A smile from beyond

the darkness ..

starlit … on a child’s face … .

Very nice, I enjoy small poems that explain one thing with deepness. Thanks for uploading and I would love it if you would check my poems as well :). Thank you!

Hello Marya – I imagine you had my little grandchildren in mind when you wrote this! Indeed, their smiles are heaven-sent. But then, aren’t all good things of that provenance? 🙂

(I see you have been busy in my absence.)

    Hello Jamie …

It’s good to see you this evening 🙂 Yes, I’ve been slightly busy …

Yes, as Wordsworth wrote about infancy … ‘trailing clouds of glory’

I hope to see those photos of your Easter holiday soon .. when you have time, of course.

Lovely. You capture the essence of a smile very well. It truly ‘illuminates’ darkness.

    Hello Shermeen …

Thank you very much .. I’m happy that you think so 🙂

Hope you are enjoying this long weekend.

  7. Shermeen says:

Yes, atom, the weekend started off beautifully with the Royal Wedding on Friday. A delightful, all-consuming affair! Was so grateful it did not rain on the day as the forecast had said. And now the sun has been delighting us every day.

  8. atomsofstars says:

    Yes, a joyous occasion, Shermeen.

Sun has deserted us here today .. very blustery with heavy rain forecast but Mr.Toad will be pleased .. 🙂
