Moth …

Flutter your phantom wings,

imbibe ambrosial night

for the moon is shining amber;

Moth,

drink starlight.

Taste the heart of the world

deep within the flower,

for the moon is shining amber:

Moth,

discern your fleeting hour.

Play your mute moth song

on your brushing wings,

for the moon is shining amber;

Moth,

upon incense flowering.

Stay gentle spectre,

wait hovering,

for the moon has faded like a rose

and the stars have lost their light.

stay moth, stay

abandon the night:

stay, in shadows stay,

touch the dawning day … .

  1. Great poem. The second stanza was my favorite ^^

    Good morning, T.C.S …

    Thank you so much .. I’m delighted to know that these lines appealed .. I quite like the second stanza, too, so I’m pleased I’m not the only one 🙂

    Hope you have an inspiring day …
