Dandelion …

Thoughts,

drifting like dandelion seeds

weightless in the summer air,

float across the meadows

of my mind like cirrus clouds.

Tenuous thoughts dance

and drift in silent crowds

like those parachutes of chance

that may take root and grow,

with persistent power,

into colonies of choking weeds

or one single,  sunny-centred

wayside flower;

dependants of the fickle breeze

that blows across the untilled earth

of time and dormant memories … .

I think I have read this one before? May be not. It is lovely.

Thank you very much, Shermeen … Yes, I did post it on MyT some time ago .. so that explains that feeling of familiarity.
I’m uploading all my poetry onto this website … the last time I posted on MyT there was a message telling me I had almost reached the capacity allotted to my blog … I emailed MyT for assistance but didn’t have a reply so .. here I am 🙂
Several friends had suggested that I have my own site so these circumstances propelled me to attempt it ..

Your own site is a spreading oasis of calm, Marya. Another world, where the air is fresh and sounds a pleasure.
