Something was touching my heart …

Something was touching my heart –

I knew not what ..

tears welled and fell

without explanation.

The sun shone;

a sharp

hailstorm

drummed an incantation.

What nameless sorrow

did my heart defend

and let me not know

of its lamentation?

In ice-water pools

hailstones meld and swell

into liquefied light ..

dispelling the fears

of my imagination.

Something was touching my soul –

I knew not what

intimation ..

The transient storm

an image;

an inspiration … .

      Good morning … and welcome,

      Thank you very much for your appreciation of these thoughts and thank you also for calling in to take the time to comment so kindly here.

      Hope the sun is shining for you .. it’s a bright Spring day here in Cornwall.

    I read this haunting poem early in the morning and so ecstatically self-indulgent was my reaction that I completely overlooked leaving a comment.
    Now, we are entering dangerous waters, atom. With the universality of the truth of your words, so beautiful and captivating, lesser people like me may take subliminal ownership 🙂

    Hello Shermeen …

    You’re very kind .. thank you very much. I’m touched by your words but lesser doesn’t come into it … all souls are equal unto God 🙂
