A pearl …

Tell me, O Oyster,
Philosopher of the sea,
becalmed beneath the ocean’s swell,
with what patient alchemy
within your ridged and roughened shell,
you formed a lustrous pearl
from a chafing piece of grit;
an irritation
in the rainbowed chamber at your heart.
Whisper, O Oyster,
that spell,
that incantation
from the deep;
teach me the mysterious art
which made a sea-change
out of it –
that pearl of wisdom
from the philosophy of the main ;
how to fashion beauty out of pain … .

      You mean you don’t like it? 🙂
      I did it too once, for my own blog. Mine wasn’t as good as yours though. 🙂

      Happy to find your blog.
